Glossary
A-H
- Attribute — Attributes are details associated with Classes in Taskmonk. For example, for a class “Hair”, you may want to create the following attributes: Color (Black, Brown, White, and so on), Nature (Straight, Wavy, Curly, and so on), Length (Long, Medium, Short, and so on). Attributes enable you to provide controls that simplify annotation of identified classes.
- Batch — Use batches to group tasks associated with a specific project.
- Class — Classes in Taskmonk refer to specific types of labels that you may want to create. For example, for every image of the human face, you may want to create the following classes: Hair, Forehead, Eyes, Nose, Lips, and so on. Depending on your requirement, classes can contain attributes, which enable you to offer details associated with your labels.
- Closed List — A closed list contains a list of items associated with a specific field. Fields populated using closed lists force labelers to choose only from the available values when filling in details for the concerned field.
- Curation — In Taskmonk, curation refers to the task of adding additional detail about an item. Typically, projects that require curation also use taxonomies to organize the items being labeled.
- Field — A field is an identifiable part of an application’s user interface that you can use to perform a specific task.
I-Q
- Level Result — The list of annotations or reviews performed at a specific level and available either for export or further update by users at the next level.
- Open Lists — Open lists enable labelers to enter any text into associated fields. Compare open fields with closed fields, where values can only be populated only using specific values, available as a drop-down list.
- Project — Use projects to configure and manage tasks associated with a data labeling requirement.
R-Z
- Skip Task — Skipping a task enables you to park a task for later, move on to the next task in the pipeline, and return to the parked task when required.
- Task — Tasks are specific actions that users must perform as part of their work associated with a project.
- Taxonomy — In Taskmonk, a taxonomy defines the categories to which an item belongs.
